TOP GEAR AUSTRALIA

News.com reported that Top Gear Australia had made a huge sum of repair bills for the 'demolished' cars used in that show.

Hemmm...This is funny. As far as I concern, there's no 'demolishing act' made by those Aussies. I mean, I never saw they push the car to the limit as the original Top Gear host Jeremy and Richard. Well, not include James although he's the one who introduce Zonda F and Bugatti Veron in this season show.LOL.

I never saw Steve or even Charlie do something crazy like the UK version host. Except burning some tires, powerslides a bit or race some cars. They said that repair bills for this first season was close to $200k. That's to much for burning tires. They never wrack a car like Stig does on Koenigseeeeeeeeeegggggggggggg.

"We have no appetite for automotive Jackass," the spokesman for one of the damaged brands said.

"When they revisit series two, they will encounter a lot of shut doors," said another.

"All we will say is that it turned out to be a very expensive test drive," said Holden spokeswoman Kate Lonsdale of the Astra bowls stunt.

That's funny! The only jackass in Top Gear team are the '3 factual' guy living in UK. Not in Australia, if you know what i mean. LOL.

The first season of Australia version was over now, and for the time being, I can only give them 2 stars out of 5. It's not because I don't like them. It's just, they need to go far from the UK version. Don't act like those 3 in UK whereas you can do better by introducing some Aussies way to host the program.

And the Stig. For God sake, introduce a new one. Not the similar one as in UK version. It doesn't seems right for me. Event UK version has numbers of Stig. Called it what ever you want, Stig cousin, Pacific Stig or what ever, but not the original one.

For the provider of cars, get real. It's a Top Gear. 200k Should be nothing compare to what they'll give to your product. Just let them do their jobs.

Top Gear are best. Period!

NEW BODYKIT FOR ACCORD BY MUGEN

It's only been a day since Honda launched the new Accord in Japan but that was more than enough time for Mugen to release details on its new sport package for both the sedan and Tourer (station-wagon) wagon variants of the car.

The Japanese tuning company that was started by the son of Honda founder, Soichiro Honda, offers all sorts of cosmetic enhancements that can be bought as a kit or 'a la carte'. On the outside, there's a full bodykit that includes front and rear under spoilers, 'aero' bumpers, side sills, a TSX-like bunny-tooth grill and a huge rear wing to prevent the Accord from... taking off.

Buyers can also choose from four different alloy wheel designs that are available in two sizes, 18- and 19-inches. Under-the-hood upgrades concern a sport suspension, high-performance brake pads and rotors, and a sport exhaust system. In Japan, the new Accord (essentially the same car as the North American market Acura TSX), is offered exclusively with a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with power channeled to the front wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission.

GRAND AM SERIES 2009

PENSKE AND PORSCHE TEAM UP FOR 2009 SEASON Two of the more polished names in racing, Penske and Porsche, will team up to enter the No. 7 Riley Mk XX Daytona Prototype for the 2009 Gran-Am Rolex Sports Car series. Another notable pair, Porsche factory drivers Timo Bernhard and Romain Dumas, will get most of the wheel time. They have driven for Penske and Porsche since 2006, sharing 14 wins and two driver championships. Neither is a stranger to the series. Bernhard had an overall win at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona in 2003 and a class win in 2002 in six career starts at the day-long race. Dumas finished third in class in 2002 and 2008, and he has competed there four times. They'll be behind the wheel of a Daytona Prototype with a Porsche 4.0-liter flat six, similar to the engines found in Porsche 911 street cars. Porsche and Penske have worked together since 1972, and the collaboration has netted more than 35 wins and five championships.
